Japan International Cooperation Agency is going to promote new reforms in Ukraine

Ways of implementation of judicial and anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine were the main topic of the meeting between vice-minister of justice of Ukraine Ruslan Ryaboshapko and the President of the Institute for Political Studies in Japan Rei Shiratori who was the head of Japan International Cooperation Agency delegation in Kiev during their working trip. “We are implementing compulsory anti-corruption reform right now – frankly speaking it is the biggest and hardest reform since the independence of Ukraine. For the first time we will create anti-corruption bureau, which will occupy bribes and corruption of public officials. We also plan to create an effective system of preventing and accommodation of conflict of interest, bring in an effective mechanism of income disclosure, enact new nation anti-corruption strategy” – Ruslan Ryaboshapko said. Vice-minister of justice of Ukraine thanked the delegation Japan International Cooperation Agency for support in enacting the reforms in Ukraine. The sides agreed about cooperation, discussed the package of help, which contains study programs for Ukrainian public officials on the sphere of reforming of judicial system and overcoming the corruption.
