A bird's eye view of Pripyat (video)

Briton Danny Cooke shot a video using camera mounted on a drone during the creation of reportage about Chernobyl to CBS News. Then he mounted the video and posted on its channel. As Danny tells his trip to Pripyat was very symbolic: the Briton was born in 1986, when the accident with the Chernobyl nuclear power plant happened.

“I have seen a lot of amazing people during my travels, one of them was my guide. Eugene nicknamed Stalker led me to Chernobyl and Pripyat, where we stayed for a week,” says Danny.

“There was something serene, yet highly disturbing about this place. Time has stood still and there are memories of past happenings floating around us. I was armed with a camera and a Geiger counter, and explored Pripyat” adds Cooke.

Briton withdrew video using DJI Phantom 2 (GoPro3 +) drone and camera Canon 7D.
